At Chapel Allerton Pilates we are passionate about providing a welcoming, nurturing and safe experience in our studio, and we also respect your privacy and data security while you use our website. In line with the changes to EU law on data protection effective from 25/5/18, we have updated our Privacy Policy. These changes include explaining to you in more detail how we use your information, including your choices, rights, and controls. Your use from that day on will be subject to this new Privacy Policy and we recommend that you familiarise yourself with it. In particular, we want you to know that we respect your privacy and the security of your personal data. We will not sell, rent or trade email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing or other purposes.

In this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure. We have also included information on your rights with regard to your data and in particular how you can request access to it, how long we are allowed to keep it and when must delete it.

What Data We Collect
The personal data we collect from you includes: 

  • Your name and email address when you sign up to our mailing list or submit an enquiry via the website contact form.

  • Your contact phone number and address.  

  • Your medical details provided on the health questionnaire in order for you to participate safely in our classes. 

  • The contact details of the person you nominate as your emergency contact person: including their phone number, name, email address, address.

  • Your purchase history of classes, courses and services.

We collect this information in order to ensure that we have all the relevant information needed to determine the best class for your needs.

How Your Data is Stored and Secured
We share your data with Mind and Body Online website that we use as our main booking and payment site. Your data is securely stored and processed by MindBody Online in order to provide an online booking and payment service. This is a safe, secure firewall protected system. MindBody Online have their own privacy policy which can be viewed on their website.

Our website is hosted on the WIX.com platform. WIX.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our services to you. Your data may be stored through WIX.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. Wix.com have their own data privacy policy which can be viewed on their website.

Our website uses cookies to give our visitors the best, most personalised user experience. You will be asked if you accept our use of cookies when you visit our website and provided with more detail on this should you need it.

How Long We Keep Your Data
We will only retain your personal data for as long as it is needed for the purposes set out in this document and/or the law requires us to. In general, this means that we will only hold your personal data for a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 7 years.

Your Rights
You have the right to request information about how your personal data is processed and a copy of that personal data. You can request that anything inaccurate in your personal data is corrected immediately. How We Contact You
We will send you important reminders and notifications about your bookings and account details via email for example, purchase receipts, appointment reminders, waiting-list notifications. We usually send only 2-3 promotional emails each month, on topics ranging from seasonal news, workshops, the launch of new classes or services, or insights into our pilates community. The frequency of these emails may increase if there are a number of important changes at the studio. If you wish to make any changes to the way we contact you, the best way is to get in touch with us directly and we can manage your preferences directly from your studio account. Additionally, if you have never received any email reminders or sale receipts from us and wish to subscribe please also do get in touch or sign up via the subscriber pop up on our website. If you would like to completely unsubscribe, the easiest way is to click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of this email. This link is always available to you at the end of every newsletter or promotional email.


Changes To This Policy
We may change this privacy policy. Any changes to this privacy policy will apply to you and your data immediately. If these changes affect how your personal data is processed, Chapel Allerton Pilates will take reasonable steps to let you know.
